Il a un bouquet de tiges aériennes feuillues, puis d'épaisses tiges charnues souterraines. Les feuilles sont longues et peuvent mesurer 1 mx 30 cm. Ils sont vert foncé et alternes. Les feuilles sont plus pâles et légèrement poilues en dessous. Les fleurs sont vertes et blanches et produites sur une tige florale ramifiée près du sol. Les fleurs ont une pointe violette. Des capsules de graines avec plusieurs graines ridées se développent. La capsule a 3 cellules. Ils sont vert pâle et ont une odeur douce{{{0(+x) (traduction automatique).
