Un grand arbre avec des contreforts. Elle mesure de 25 à 40 m de haut. Les feuilles ont deux rangées égales de folioles. Les capitules sont sur de grosses tiges de fleurs à l'aisselle des feuilles. Les gousses sont larges, plutôt épaisses, pendent et sont noires et brillantes à maturité{{{0(+x) (traduction automatique).
