Un arbre à feuilles caduques de taille moyenne. L'écorce est fine et gris foncé. Les feuilles sont largement ovales avec une longue pointe. Ils mesurent 8 à 15 cm de long. Ils ont souvent de petits lobes. Il y a des doubles dents. Les noix sont en grappes de 2-3. Ils sont dans un cuir couvrant 4 cm de diamètre.
