Un petit arbre. Il a un tronc court. Il atteint une hauteur de 6 à 9 m et une largeur de 4,5 m. Il perd ses feuilles au cours de l'année. L'écorce est brun foncé et pèle. Les feuilles mesurent 7 à 11 cm de long sur 2 à 3 cm de large. Les feuilles sont vert clair. Ils ont des poils fins et des dents le long du bord. Les fleurs sont blanches et en groupes de 2 à 5.
