Un arbuste grimpant ligneux. Les tiges sont épineuses. Les feuilles sont simples et alternes. Les feuilles sont largement ovales et mesurent 4-8 cm de long sur 3-4 cm de large et ont des lobes. Les fleurs sont violettes avec des étamines jaune vif. Le fruit est une baie rouge vif à maturité. Il mesure environ 1 cm de large{{{0(+x) (traduction automatique).
