Une petite herbe ou un arbuste. Il pousse de 30 à 80 cm de haut. Les feuilles ont des tiges et sont disposées en spirales. Ils sont ovales mais effilés vers la pointe. Il y a des dents le long du bord. Les dents sont petites, émoussées et de taille égale. Il y a souvent une petite cheville de 1 mm de long sous la tige de la feuille et une paire de poils ressemblant à des structures de feuilles de 4 à 5 mm de long de chaque côté. Les fleurs sont petites et blanches ou jaune pâle. La tige de la fleur a généralement un gonflement un peu en dessous de la fleur. Les fleurs s'ouvrent tôt le matin.
