Description :
Un arbre dressé. Il atteint 10-30 m de haut et a un tronc haut. Il peut s'étendre de 10 à 20 m de large. L'écorce inférieure est sombre. Il est lâche, rugueux et papyracé et se détache pour révéler une écorce blanche et lisse. La jeune pousse a une floraison blanchâtre. Les feuilles sont coriaces et en forme d'épée. La lame mesure 8 à 15 cm de long et 2 à 6 cm de large. Les fleurs sont orange en grappes d'environ 7. Celles-ci sont sur des tiges épaisses à l'aisselle des feuilles. Les fruits sont côtelés. Ce sont des capsules ligneuses en forme de tonneau. Ils mesurent 3-6 cm de long sur 2-5 cm de large{{{0(+x) (traduction automatique).
