        Un arbre à feuilles persistantes ou caduques. Il atteint 7 à 15 m de haut et 45 cm de diamètre. L'arbre s'étend sur 2 à 4 m de diamètre. La tige est dressée et l'écorce est lisse, avec des branches basses. Les feuilles ont de longs pétioles de 2 à 9 cm de long. Les feuilles sont divisées en 3 folioles poussant à partir du même point. Les folioles sont pointues à la base et ont une pointe élancée à l'extrémité. Les deux moitiés des dépliants sont de taille inégale. Les folioles mesurent 5 à 27 cm de long sur 3 à 10 cm de large. Les feuilles sont vert clair. Les fleurs sont blanches, puis jaunes, virant au violet pâle et elles sont grandes, jusqu'à 5-7 cm de diamètre. Ils sont portés en gros grappes de 3 à 14 cm de long. Ce sont près des extrémités des branches. Le fruit est arrondi et mesure environ 6 à 15 cm de long sur 5 à 9 cm de diamètre. Ils sont en forme de saucisse. Le fruit est comestible. Il existe de nombreuses graines en forme de rein{{{0(+x) (traduction automatique).
